"Miami on the Wild Side" consists of 24 glass mosaic roundels with marble borders, each 25" in diameter. The artwork is sited on the columns of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Terminal #5 at the Port of Miami. It was commissioned in 2002 by miami-Dade Art in Public Places and the Port of miami. The 24 roundels depict sea creatures and birds of the Everglades and Biscayne Bay, including manatee, pelican, roseate spoonbill, sea horse, and purple gallinule.
